The following section gives helpful information on how purchasing products from us here at St. Peters garden Centre works.
Online payment will be activated once we have uploaded our extensive range of products. You will only then be able to purchase goods through our website and pay online.
After you submit an order we will give you an Order Reference Number and details of the products you have ordered. We will send the same details to you in an e-mail. Please note that these e-mails are acknowledgements, and are not acceptance of your order.
Acceptance of your order and the creation of a legally binding contract between us will only occur when we send you a second e-mail, which will confirm your order and contain details of how we will deliver your products to you. Alternatively, we may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case our second email will tell you so.
We will tell you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason and may invite you to pay by another method or suggest that you visit one of our stores. Please note that products, prices and offers in our stores may differ from those featured on this site.
Credit & Debit Cards
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is made at the Internet check out, which can be accessed through your Internet Shopping Trolley. Remember, you can still change your mind at the checkout as to whether you wish to continue with the purchase.
All Prices and charges on this site are in UK pounds. They include any VAT payable, but exclude delivery charges (for details see ‘ Delivery ’ below).
We try very hard to ensure that all information on this site is accurate. However, just occasionally, an error can occur. If we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered, we will tell you and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it.
When do I give my Payment Details?
Payment is made at the Order Payment Stage, which can be accessed through your Internet Shopping Trolley. You can still change your mind at this stage. Payment is only made when you click to Complete your purchase.
When will I be Charged?
The full purchase price will be charged to your card upon placement of your order.
We offer our customers a home delivery service if you are shopping direct instore, or via telephone. If you need Compost delivered or need a Furniture set delivered then there is no need to worry as we are always on hand to help. (charges are applicable depending on distance) please contact us if you need any information.
Delivery (online orders only)
Delivery must be to an address in the Mainland United Kingdom (excluding the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight and the Scottish islands). All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox). Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.
Delivery by Courier or Post
Most products are delivered either by courier or by post, depending on their size and value. We will notify you which delivery method we will use when we send you our e-mail. Very occasionally different products in the same order may be delivered separately.
Delivery of all small items will be made by Royal Mail. (First Class) Royal Mail's vision is to be 'demonstrably the best and most trusted postal services company in the world'. Delivery of items are on a first class next day delivery service. Please note during busy periods this may be a two day delivery with notification of this delay.
Delivery of standard sized goods (Except 2 Man Lift Items) will be made by UKMail. (2 to 4 Day Service and Next Working Day) UKMail offer a nationwide door-to-door sensitive express parcel delivery. UKMail will handle and deliver all parcels as Next Working Day Delivery (ordered by 1pm), please note during busy periods this will be a two day delivery with notification of this delay.
Delivery of Large Trees
Delivery of Large Trees (Christmas, Ornamental & Hedging Trees) are only available within our local area Unfortunately this is because of how fragile the trees are and their size.
Collection from our Store
Legal Age for Alcohol/Knifes
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine. By placing your order on our website, on the phone, or in person at our store, you have represented to St Peters Garden Centre Ltd that you are at least 21. All Alcohol/Knifes delivered must be received by an adult of legal age. We will require a Photographic Identification if you look less than 25 years of age at the point of delivery.
Missing, Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We try very hard to ensure that you receive your order in pristine condition.
We are in the process of uploading our extensive range of products and once completed you will be able to reserve items online and collect at the garden centre.
Join our exclusive reward card membership scheme and receive points for every item you buy in store (excluding Blakes Deli). Members of our Reward Card receive regular mailings are kept updated on our new products along with exclusive open evenings and exclusive special offers.
Please fill in the Application form and we will send you your reward card within the next 7-10 working days. Alternatively you can collect an application form direct from store.

Reward card voucher will be to the value of the points you have saved through your in store purchases to spend at St Peters Garden Centre

We are in the process of uploading our extensive range of products and once completed you will be able to write your own reviews of the products that you have bought from us.
If there is a fault with your product within 12 months of delivery (or other defect with your order), we will normally offer a prompt repair, exchange or refund. We will always offer you the choice of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 28 days of delivery.
To Qualify for a Refund or Exchange the Product must be:
- In otherwise in 'as-new' condition
- Complete with any accessories and free gifts offered with it
(and, if possible, the original box and packaging)
Please return the product to St Peters Garden Centre, or phone on 01905 357595 (9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday & 10am to 4pm on Sunday). If a fault occurs while you are abroad, please contact us after you return to the UK.
This promise does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. For consumable items (e.g. Food etc) we cannot accept returns.
If you have chosen to have your order delivered, you can cancel your purchase at any time either before or up to 7 days after delivery by contacting us using any of the methods listed below.

Condition of Product
Your product must be complete, unused and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in anyway). It should be returned with the original box, packaging and accessories. Any 'Free Gifts' received with the product must also be returned. You will receive a full refund, and the cancellation is free of charge provided you return the product to a store, or arrange for it to be collected via a delivery company.
We cannot Cancel your Purchase when:
- You return your Product to a Store without Proof of Purchase
- The Goods were a Special Order to your Specification
i.e. Perishable goods from the deli are also excluded
